Goodbye Summer, Hello Fall! Events to Celebrate the Season

It’s hard to believe that Summer is over, and Autumn is upon us! But as we say goodbye to beach days and BBQs, we say hello to Ghost Walks and House Decorating contests to celebrate the fall season.

For those who love a good haunt, our friends at Haunted History Productions and The Woodbridge Recreation Department will present ‘Haunted Woodbridge’ on October 9, 6:30-9:00pm (rain date: October 10), starting at Tanzman Park on Pearl Street. During this 50-minute Ghost Walk, participants will journey back in time filled with facts, fun and fiction. Along the way you’ll stop and hear stories told straight from the ghosts themselves. They say, many of Woodbridge's spirited residents have been walking the streets of Downtown Woodbridge for centuries!

Tickets are available on site beginning at 4:30pm or you can purchase in advance on Eventbrite to select your time slot. You can also find more details about this one-night-only event at the link below: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/4th-annual-woodbridge-ghost-walk-tickets-167218792911?aff=ebdssbdestsearch

For those Halloween lovers who want to keep the thrills and chills at home, the Woodbridge Township Halloween Decorating Contest is back with 3 categories for 2021: Spookiest House, Autumn Oasis and Blowup Bonanza.

Gather everyone in the family and “trick” out your home with your best Halloween décor and compete for bragging rights. Email pictures of your home and category choice to recreationdepartment@twp.woodbridge.nj.us by October 20. Learn more at: https://twp.woodbridge.nj.us/331/Recreation

Happy Fall!
